Poetry Sunday ~ Autumn

Ecc. 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
***
Autumn
***
The leaves are falling,
the chill is here
once again
that time of year.

As flowers fade
and jack frost looms
fragrance smolders
the ants build rooms.

The grass it dims
oh sacred tree
drop your shelter
down on me.

Time to vacate
and go inside
the world is cold
too oft it died.

I will pray
my jobs not done.
I run the gamut
of a life I’ve won.

Never fear and
always trust.
My God is good
He molded dust!

Your lyrical words are like a cool breeze giving me the feel of the coming fall. It was in the 50s last night, and after this record hot summer I'm more than ready for fall.

I'm returning to your poem to read it again...

You're awesome!

Inhale the crispness of it all...rejoice in words, glorify the fall! :)

Thanks Becky!

You have a great day too.

Fall is my favorite season, its a time of putting the old things behind, storing them in the closet and protecting them from the bitter cold. :)
