Poetry Sunday~ Divine Glory

Luke 12: 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Divine Glory

(c) Joni Zipp
***
I crawl;
my nails dig
into the soil
my knees, bloody,
scrape the ground

I cry,
tears burn tracks
into my face
flowing
without ceasing.

I breathe;
inhale the pain
piercing the armor
cutting like shards
of glass upon my heart.

I wail;
the thought
of indecision
creeps, the dust
of corruption.

I ponder;
the truth of light
as darkness grasps
the very essence
of my being.

I plead;
for unwavering faith
to not let me down
when all around me
hands trying to tug.

I see...
God for the Glory
of all that He is
all that he does
and all He wants for me.

I live...
in trust and faith
walking, knowing
He is beside me
where only He knows
all of me.

Luke 21: 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
