He comes,
a lowly rider beneath;
people gather to feel
his presence.
He reigns
a moment in time.
His glory will cling
to mankind.
Showers of
palm leaves
laid before him
to praise his name.
He bows
his head in humility
for all the world
to behold.
He carries
the burden of sin
on his shoulder;
he wept.
He hangs;
prophecy fulfilled.
His life shortened
by duty.
He loves
you and I
enough
to rise again.
