Happy Ending

Gen. 6:13 "And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

A Happy Ending

Who doesn’t like a happy ending? We watch movie after movie waiting, wanting, expecting a happy ending. We go through life with the same expectancies and when we’re let down over and over we become pessimistic expecting the bottom to drop out.

I live in a house with two men, one my son and one my husband, both pessimistic. My son says he’s a realist! I say, “You’re a stubborn pessimist!” How is reality always seeing the bad? You’re looking to buy a new car, you wait expectantly for everything to go wrong, everything goes right, now you wait for the car itself to go wrong. There’s no end to everything going wrong in a realists mind! Then as soon as they expect something to go right, it follows suit and goes remarkably wrong.

Day after day you expect everything to go wrong? Well, no wonder your life is dismal. No wonder you’re a pessimist always seeing the wrong instead of the right. I am a full-blooded, passionate, optimist in every regard. When things do go wrong, I always see the good intricately tied in there. These things happened for a reason and I SEE the reason and embrace everything that is dished out whether to me, others, or the world. I might not like it but that is no reason to see the bad in everything.

While Christmastime focused on the Christ child, February is focused on a Saint Valentine, in short, he was a martyr all in the name of LOVE. I’m not Catholic so I really don’t follow saint days but here we are in the 21st century and people, like with Christmas, have made February 14th more about materialism than for Christ/love respectively.

No wonder the suicide rate is highest in these two months; loneliness, shortcomings, unworthiness is at an all-time high in December and February because the pessimistic society sees everything wrong and none of the right in their lives. This saddens me because this pessimism and negativity have shaped our very world that we live.

I know I’ve said this over and over but I’m going to say it again. When I got this diagnosis, the doctors WANTED me to fear, they wanted to scare me into submission by telling me all that could go wrong, all that has gone wrong with millions of patients worldwide! When I threw optimism into the mix, they looked puzzled. This was one of those times that you look at supposed educated smarter people and wonder how they ever got by in life. I felt the thread of support from the doctor’s burning and singeing leaving me dangling.

Did that deter me from my positive route? NO! When I asked two doctors, that if I didn’t believe chemo was ever going to work for me, would it still be the cure-all they touted, they both said no, it would not work for me, the mind has everything to do with the outcome. I asked that if alternative treatment would work if I BELIEVED it will work, they buckled, searching their brains for what to say. Their minds were like scrambled eggs before being put on the hot fire. I knew right then and there that my alternative route was going to be my happy ending!

I know too many people who have gone the chemotherapy route and died. I know people who went that route and lived. Ask them what worked for them. I would bet money that they can say they believed their doctor, they believed in the system, they believed they’d be healed. Their mind healed them, not the radioactive chemicals coursing through their veins. What they believed was happening as the juice ran its course is what gave them a positive outcome. Had they pessimistically viewed the situation the outcome would have been markedly different.

Ask them what keeps them going; they’ll more than likely tell you the will and determination to LIVE! Their minds are defining their route in life. Our optimism and pessimism are shaping our lives. The over-abundance of pessimism in today’s society has shaped the angry world. Look at the earthquakes, tsunamis, flooding, devastation, murder rate, suicide they are all residual effects of the dismal down sighted pessimistic world.

I know quite a few of you who will say, “It was written in the Bible!” I believe that to be true too, I’ve never alluded to the bible not being prophetic. God knows what He created. He knew what our withered minds were capable of manifesting. Now you see before you how well your pessimism worked. It has BECOME your reality!

All that we BELIEVE will shape our happy ending! Remember that on your deathbed. Your pessimism will have you meeting the snake of fear, the fires of hell, the torment you put your mind through will carry you away. Your last breath of optimism will have you breathlessly meeting your Heavenly Father in a beautiful, painless, worry-free realm of possibilities conjoining with eternal living! You are in total control of your Happy Ending.

Matt. 1619 "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."

NFL ~ Losing Its Glory

NFL ~ Losing Its Glory

1 Cor. 9:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

I used to enjoy football. Growing up, my dad would sit perched on the edge of his seat roaring mad at interceptions and cheering for the touchdowns. All the way up until a few years ago when his anger at the game would almost cause him a heart attack, more times than not, in the end, he would just check the score of the game.

He was a big Baltimore Colts fan and he was a college football fan too, he loved Notre Dame! In later years he became a Ravens fans but was really saddened when the institution of football took on a new low. It was no longer, or so it seemed a sport.

He remembered the days it was about football; playing in the elements like snow, rain, heat and cold. The men in those days were not thugs and today that is what teams look like, nothing more than well-paid thugs. Back in the day players never received millions of dollars to play a game. I know, the cost of living has risen so they NEED to be paid millions.

The very first Super bowl was:

On January 15, 1967, the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) smash the American Football League (AFL)'s Kansas City Chiefs, 35-10, in the first-ever AFL-NFL World Championship, later known as Super Bowl I, at Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

Over the years football has taken on a new edge of competitiveness and with all competition, there is bound to be cheating. I’m not saying there wasn't any cheating back in  the day but with the rise of technology, so has the rise in KNOWN cheating. Cheating scandals have risen over the years and I’m not pointing fingers at the ‘who did what’, the point is cheating is present, period!

I found it interesting to do some research on the History of the Super Bowl
When reading the story of the history of the first super bowl you can see that Vince Lombardi was very much the competitive spirit! I did find it interesting the WHY it is called the super ball, I mean, Super Bowl.

“The big game was a thrown-together affair, hastily organized. It was, in some ways, an afterthought to the merger (AFL/NFL) agreement,” writes author Harvey Frommer in “When It Was Just a Game: Remembering the First Super Bowl.”

Did you see that? It was JUST A GAME! Currently, it is one big multi-million dollar GIMMICK sucking off a materialistic society that thrives on big sex-filled musical lip-syncing shows, big million dollar ads, big boobs, sex and titillation, oh and a BIG GAME to see who is better!

It saddens me to say that I am no longer a fan. I’ve watched football excitedly for at least thirteen years now and only in the past three or more years have I seen the shift. Weekly football took on an ad filled presentation. A game that should take an hour and a half dragged out for three hours because of the commercials lasting over five minutes! It took on the looks of gimmicky reality television. It now reminds me of the WWF in all its hokey grandeur.

Imagine, the very first halftime show was marching bands, rocket men, balloons, and pigeons! Imagine that. No foo-foo frenzy, no boob show, no tacky wardrobe malfunction, just marching bands!

History of Football

History of American Football

All in all, the history of the sport is steeped in brutality all the way back to 1600 before it was Americanized. And boy did we do what America does best, glamorizes murderers, wife beaters, child beaters and cheaters.

And we wonder why the world is the way it is? I’m sure we can justify brutality all the way back to the beginning of time. Now we just pay for it in more materialistic ways.

* What you just read was written in February of 2016 when I KNEW who was going to win the SuperBowl before it was even played, just as I KNEW the Patriots would win the 2015 Superbowl. I guess you didn’t find it odd that the Broncos money-maker of the franchise, Peyton Manning was retiring at this time and it was the 50th SuperBowl?

Pss. 106:20 "Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass."

The entire game was about Peyton Manning. While I myself am/was a Manning/Broncos fan and wanted to see them win, from the first throw I could tell, this game was picked to win BECAUSE of the Manning love. Fans bought into the entire show but it was obvious that ref calls were playing favorites.

The NFL is now whining because of a hashtag BOYCOTT THE NFL they think is having an adverse effect on viewership. It is that or the million dollar players sitting out the National Anthem because of a Black Lives Matter movement is sweeping the industry. They don’t take into consideration the fans are tired of all the scandals that circle the entire industry like vultures just waiting for the NFL to take its last breath.

Scandals, whether true or false HURT. Take for instance, Deflategate. The Patriots are an excellent team but I think people were suspicious of the franchise long before the scandal arose. Then there is the murderers, wife beaters, child abusers, you name it, the NFL takes players knowing full well of their bloody violent histories. The debate on the entire franchise cheating is not funny because it is US the fans that get hurt realizing we’ve been bamboozled. Controversy after controversy we’re supposed to sit idly by while being taken.

I personally stopped watching last year when I sensed the refs were up to no good, only for it to be verified by the league and later swept under the rug all for the love of money. Nobody wants to see America’s pastime go down the toilet so it all gets rolled over like gum stuck to the bottom of a pew, it stinks! Ninety percent of Americans feel the NFL is rigged

And I haven’t even gotten started on the sleaze fest they call cheerleaders? Why women degrade themselves for money is still beyond me (men like it)! I didn’t post a link to cheerleading COSTUMES over the years because quite frankly, it made me want to puke. Search for yourself at your own risk.  I think I’ll end the post here because I could go on and on…oops…I think I did.

God Bless America! We need all the help we can get!

Heb. 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

Lent ~ Day three ~ A Spiritual Season

Ex. 13: 10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

Did you ever notice how people prepare for Christmas? Year after year they get their houses ready, fill it with lights, trim the tree, rejoice on Christmas morn that the Savior was born? Oh, let’s not forget the gifts; the payoff of the holiday season, right?

Did you ever notice that the only planning to get ready for Easter Sunday is the dying of eggs, the purchase of a new Sunday dress and shoes, the preparing of a meal, or the getting ready to visit church and family? Or maybe even a basket full of candy will dress your table.

Why is this? Has society so saturated us with materials that we fail to see the spiritual value of these two most religious Holy Days? Let’s not forget the political correctness of these days either. We don’t see commercials fill our airwaves with Hanukkah presents or celebrations; we don’t see Kwanzaa as a celebrated Holy Day, so why are we fed all the commercialism of Christmas and Easter? Why is man SO offended by Christ?

Please, don’t blame Obama on this one. Since man dictated to us that on December 25th we’d celebrate it as Jesus’ BIRTH has man fought against the entire Christ movement. On Christmas day we’d light trees, give gifts, spend time with family, drink and be merry; thus MERRY Christmas?

We have been nourished by commercialism, materialism and have been driven away from the entire Spiritual movement that these two extraordinary events were meant to be. Whenever someone approaches us and says they are spirit-filled, we move away from them as if they just stepped in manure, distancing ourselves from the odor. Why do you think that is? Nobody wants the aroma clinging to him or her all day, so they move away from it in hopes that it isn’t a contagious disease.

Imagine that, thinking the spirit, the Holy Spirit no less, is a contagious smelly disease. That is what man and man alone, not just ONE man, has done. Through all this wrongful thinking, man is destroying the spirit.

Have you heard the old saying, ‘You are what you think’? I’ve heard it put in many different colorful connotations but all in all, they mean the same thing. Action causes a Reaction. Man has MOVED (action) to eliminate any spiritual drive from us causing a REACTION, a spirit-less society.

I have many Native American friends who understand the spirit and the Forefathers before them strive to keep the Spirit alive. But many will tell you, that as we move into a new frontier, many natives are losing sight of the Spirit.

The spirit is not some imaginary thing, it is real and it is a force of all things in nature. The Holy Spirit is what is within you driving the vehicle you call a body. Think of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as the fuel in your system, in Earth’s system, in every living and breathing creatures system! When we take the Spirit out of this world, we are then taking LIFE out of this world.

Even if you don’t believe in God, say you’re an atheist, the spirit, or driving force, is STILL in there, you’re just lower on fuel than many.

The Spiritual Season is upon us and as many nourish their souls with commercialism and materialism, know that the spirit is still moving in you and would love to connect and bring back to the world the fullness of His intention from the beginning.

It is by universal thought that we created this dissolution. Before you blame ONE man for this earthly demise, look to the man that YOU are and what part YOU feed and in turn feed to your environment. Because in truth, WE become what WE think.

Lev. 23:4 These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
