One Voice

Pss.1: 1-2 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

One Voice

Well, it is done and over with, Donald Trump is the President-elect. I find it kind of funny that my Democratic friends (yes, I know who you are) and my Republican friends (I know who you are, too) all assume I voted for their candidate when I have NEVER given an inkling to who I was inclined to side with. Because I LIKE a meme on facebook, that tells you all about me? Boy, we’re in bigger trouble than I thought.

I was raised to never discuss politics or call people names just for the sake of calling names and if you look at my year of posts (facebook and my blog) I never led people to believe I was anything but a follower of Christ. I watched this year as people lost every shred of dignity. I saw friends being deleted because they weren’t in-sync with one another. I watched as the world collapsed. I don’t see hope and happiness in that.

I’m sad. I’m not sad because Hillary lost no more than am I sad because Trump won, I’m sad for MY future and the future of children who had to wake to a confusion of what commotion went on while they slept. I’m sad for the babies too small to even know anything was going on that we leave them a ruined country, one that they may or may not ever be proud to one day serve.

I see fear. I see a people not happy with either candidate. When I voice my opinion it isn’t because I pulled it out of my hat. I SENSE that either way the vote would’ve gone it would lead to riots by the ‘thugs’ of society? Because you know, there is not one thug republican right? Both parties are a disgrace. Now maybe you’ll SEE what I sensed all along, fire, flames, burning buildings, vandalism, and destruction. Again, had the other side won, we’d see the same exact thing, that is how the entire campaign was run, on hate and dissension and this surprises you people are reacting in animosity?

I remember when I first heard that Trump was ‘thinking about running for president’, I laughed at first then said, “I bet he’d win. People are tired of politicians running.” I was laughed at as you can imagine because I have nothing political in my arsenal of word wars. Today I sit here still laughing because a Reality TV star is now our president-elect! As many of my readers might know, I’m not a television fan, I’ve never been a subscriber of cable, I’ve given up my love of football after the cold realization that I was being swindled by commercials and high paid thugs and the only television use in my house is to watch movies from either my computer or my DVD player.

My voice doesn’t matter. No one cares what I think. They all assume to know something they know nothing of and that is ME! I’m not giving up hope. Christ is not about giving up! I will continue to stand with Christ while the people frolic in a two-faced society, one day filled with contempt for a person and the next day showing loving support. It makes absolutely no sense to me just as it didn’t when I was bullied in school.

I’m winding down my year of blog posts and I have ten more before the change for me. I honestly don’t know what will happen but I’ll embrace whatever the Lord plans for me. My next ten posts will surely be about HOPE, CHRIST, LOVE, HONOR, Thanksgiving and they will all remain my walk with God and not man!

Today I hold my head high, maintain every shred of the dignity I started the year with and walk hand-in-hand with our Mighty Savior who saw all of this coming before we did. I don’t judge you for your choices in life, please, don’t judge me for having a quiet voice amid a roaring angry crowd. I’m tired of the name-calling and the finger-pointing. What’s done is done now let us move on and a skip to my lou my darling.

Pss. 107:8-11 “Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

NFL ~ Losing Its Glory

NFL ~ Losing Its Glory

1 Cor. 9:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

I used to enjoy football. Growing up, my dad would sit perched on the edge of his seat roaring mad at interceptions and cheering for the touchdowns. All the way up until a few years ago when his anger at the game would almost cause him a heart attack, more times than not, in the end, he would just check the score of the game.

He was a big Baltimore Colts fan and he was a college football fan too, he loved Notre Dame! In later years he became a Ravens fans but was really saddened when the institution of football took on a new low. It was no longer, or so it seemed a sport.

He remembered the days it was about football; playing in the elements like snow, rain, heat and cold. The men in those days were not thugs and today that is what teams look like, nothing more than well-paid thugs. Back in the day players never received millions of dollars to play a game. I know, the cost of living has risen so they NEED to be paid millions.

The very first Super bowl was:

On January 15, 1967, the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) smash the American Football League (AFL)'s Kansas City Chiefs, 35-10, in the first-ever AFL-NFL World Championship, later known as Super Bowl I, at Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles.

Over the years football has taken on a new edge of competitiveness and with all competition, there is bound to be cheating. I’m not saying there wasn't any cheating back in  the day but with the rise of technology, so has the rise in KNOWN cheating. Cheating scandals have risen over the years and I’m not pointing fingers at the ‘who did what’, the point is cheating is present, period!

I found it interesting to do some research on the History of the Super Bowl
When reading the story of the history of the first super bowl you can see that Vince Lombardi was very much the competitive spirit! I did find it interesting the WHY it is called the super ball, I mean, Super Bowl.

“The big game was a thrown-together affair, hastily organized. It was, in some ways, an afterthought to the merger (AFL/NFL) agreement,” writes author Harvey Frommer in “When It Was Just a Game: Remembering the First Super Bowl.”

Did you see that? It was JUST A GAME! Currently, it is one big multi-million dollar GIMMICK sucking off a materialistic society that thrives on big sex-filled musical lip-syncing shows, big million dollar ads, big boobs, sex and titillation, oh and a BIG GAME to see who is better!

It saddens me to say that I am no longer a fan. I’ve watched football excitedly for at least thirteen years now and only in the past three or more years have I seen the shift. Weekly football took on an ad filled presentation. A game that should take an hour and a half dragged out for three hours because of the commercials lasting over five minutes! It took on the looks of gimmicky reality television. It now reminds me of the WWF in all its hokey grandeur.

Imagine, the very first halftime show was marching bands, rocket men, balloons, and pigeons! Imagine that. No foo-foo frenzy, no boob show, no tacky wardrobe malfunction, just marching bands!

History of Football

History of American Football

All in all, the history of the sport is steeped in brutality all the way back to 1600 before it was Americanized. And boy did we do what America does best, glamorizes murderers, wife beaters, child beaters and cheaters.

And we wonder why the world is the way it is? I’m sure we can justify brutality all the way back to the beginning of time. Now we just pay for it in more materialistic ways.

* What you just read was written in February of 2016 when I KNEW who was going to win the SuperBowl before it was even played, just as I KNEW the Patriots would win the 2015 Superbowl. I guess you didn’t find it odd that the Broncos money-maker of the franchise, Peyton Manning was retiring at this time and it was the 50th SuperBowl?

Pss. 106:20 "Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass."

The entire game was about Peyton Manning. While I myself am/was a Manning/Broncos fan and wanted to see them win, from the first throw I could tell, this game was picked to win BECAUSE of the Manning love. Fans bought into the entire show but it was obvious that ref calls were playing favorites.

The NFL is now whining because of a hashtag BOYCOTT THE NFL they think is having an adverse effect on viewership. It is that or the million dollar players sitting out the National Anthem because of a Black Lives Matter movement is sweeping the industry. They don’t take into consideration the fans are tired of all the scandals that circle the entire industry like vultures just waiting for the NFL to take its last breath.

Scandals, whether true or false HURT. Take for instance, Deflategate. The Patriots are an excellent team but I think people were suspicious of the franchise long before the scandal arose. Then there is the murderers, wife beaters, child abusers, you name it, the NFL takes players knowing full well of their bloody violent histories. The debate on the entire franchise cheating is not funny because it is US the fans that get hurt realizing we’ve been bamboozled. Controversy after controversy we’re supposed to sit idly by while being taken.

I personally stopped watching last year when I sensed the refs were up to no good, only for it to be verified by the league and later swept under the rug all for the love of money. Nobody wants to see America’s pastime go down the toilet so it all gets rolled over like gum stuck to the bottom of a pew, it stinks! Ninety percent of Americans feel the NFL is rigged

And I haven’t even gotten started on the sleaze fest they call cheerleaders? Why women degrade themselves for money is still beyond me (men like it)! I didn’t post a link to cheerleading COSTUMES over the years because quite frankly, it made me want to puke. Search for yourself at your own risk.  I think I’ll end the post here because I could go on and on…oops…I think I did.

God Bless America! We need all the help we can get!

Heb. 12:1 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

Baltimore Riots?

Mark 13:8 "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows."

I grew up in the city of Baltimore. A very house-to-house packed on the row-home filled streets. We lived in a white community surrounded to the west and east of South Baltimore by the black communities.

We didn’t venture there because we were taught that it was just a bad community. Granted I had a couple of black friends who ventured into our area, they said the same thing, they moved because the areas in the outer limits were pretty bad.

I lived about five blocks from the Inner Harbor that later became a Mecca of diversity with shops of different cultures lining the water’s edge. Fort McHenry, Federal Hill, and the Inner Harbor were just a couple of my hangouts while growing up. I was in the center of the city and all that city living entailed.

Believe it or not I didn’t turn out to be prejudice, ie: unreasonable feelings, opinions, or attitudes, especially of a hostile nature, regarding an ethnic, racial, social, or religious group, or a racist ie: the doctrine that one's own racial group is superior or that a particular racial group is inferior to the others, even though both were in full sight all around me.

When I moved to Texas quite a few years ago, we lived in a predominantly black apartment complex. I’d say it was a 70/30 ratio, us being the minority. I didn’t feel out of place because it was basically the same community I had grown up in, diverse. I welcomed and was welcomed into the community.

My son learned racism quite quickly in Texas as he was called names he had never heard before such as nigger, cracker and white trash. Yes, he learned the ‘N’ word from a black kid who had called him a nigger and he came home asking me what it meant. I explained that it meant an ignorant person which is exactly what the child who called him that was being raised to be. The kids even teased him when he told them we were moving to Nebraska!

“That’s white man’s country.”

We soon understood what they meant when we got here and were hard pressed to see a black person anywhere. Maybe 1 in a 100? Yeah, this is white man’s country here in Nebraska. It is also an extremely conservative state meaning don’t declare yourself an independent because that is seen immediately as a liberal, or libtard as so many conservatives in their hate spew. Anyone who doesn’t agree with their hate is a liberal and they themselves become the ignorant, hateful, violators.

With all the rioting going on in different states it is pretty hard not to become prejudice. Not against a color per se, but against criminal thugs, period! To destroy, burn and loot your own neighborhoods you are destroying humanity and thugs see only themselves as the ‘misunderstood’ people of society. They are the fatherless, druggy criminals raised by the same. Nothing more, nothing less.

Human beings are human beings and as such we should ACT as such, not the vile animals that these rioters seem to be. Maybe I don’t understand and maybe I do. I’m trying hard not to spew hateful words as to offend anyone but the state of our country saddens me and all I know to do is pray. Pray for the lost souls who may have never been prayed for before. It is what Jesus calls me to do and I will honor Him.

So while people are filled with vile anger, souls churn inside with hatred, blind eyes are everywhere to every atrocity surrounding them and they cling only to the negative portion of understanding. They, to me, are no different than the criminal thugs wanting justice.

A friend told me, “This is not our world.” I know this and understand it more than you know.

When 4,000 people are killed in an earthquake and all that people can talk about are politics and agenda’s, or the soup of the day, it isn’t just the criminal minds that are at fault here, it is the human race living as if they are cancer-stricken with no cure!

Baltimore will rise from the ashes; Nepal will rise from the rubble, maybe just not on this side of cosmos, but one day. I pray.

May God be with you all.

Luke 21:11 “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
