Flowers - images

My flowers of  the Summer of 2017

I didn't plant any this year due to lousy soil conditions. I said, "Whatever comes up, will be the Lords blessing to me."

These are purple Salvia but sure look blue.

Butterflies visited me often.
The angels aren't plants silly, they're just guarding what grows!

It was a great summer!

Sunrise/Sunset

Sunrise out my front door

Deut. 33:14 “And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,”

Sunrise and Sunset

I love the warmth of a sunrise as it slowly moves up the horizon and clouds gently part as if they are welcoming the fresh new start of the day. The sunset is similar as the clouds bow down to sun bidding it a farewell until the morning comes around again.

Shoes fascinate some women; some are preoccupied with clothes, while women captivate men, and in my weirdness, I’m riveted by sunrises and sunsets! Since the first time at age ten of sneaking out of the house at four in the morning with my sister and cousin to watch the sunrise, the orb that appeared every morning like clockwork casting shadows across the land, fascinated me.

Luke 21: 25 “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;”

I’m not as obsessed with the sun and moon as I am with God but they come in a close fourth, the second being the Christ man, the third the spirit. Yes, I believe in the trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit but that did not stop my immersion into reading everything I could about astronomy. I worship and praise only ONE God and I don’t give into idol worship.

As a child, I wanted to be an astronomer, an astronaut, an archaeologist or a nun. Well as life happened and the city life tried to swallow me whole, I matured in what was possible within my grasp and that was a life as a writer. Never did my consummation of the cosmos, archaeology or theology stray from me.

We all have a tendency to become obsessed with one thing or another whether it is politics, money, hair, clothes, men or women and my obsession of God is no different. I can never get enough of the Light that shines into my soul then floods out my fingertips in way of words being leaked to people who might read what I have to say.

Since I held my first camera in my hand my next fascination was capturing the sunrise and sunset so I could keep the image alive whenever I needed a pick me up on cloudy days. Yes, believe it or not, the ball of fire was a meditative healing spot for me.

As I think of the Thankful November momentum, I’m thankful for every single day that I wake and have the ability to see the sunrise and am able to bid my God a good morning via prayer. Ironically, in my own little mind I have become all I wanted to be as a child, a closet astronomer, still a wannabe archaeologist, as I love rocks and anything I dig up and find, and am some form of nun in my own aspect, as my life is dedicated to God. What about an astronaut you say, well I fly to the moon every night when I close my eyes so yeah, I’m my own astronaut too. Maybe THAT is why some consider me ‘spacey’.

Rom. 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

While I strive to soar and not conform to this world. I have hopes that my spiritual family will accompany me one day wherever it is we wind up on the eternal plane. I realize that God brought me to this juncture in my life surrounding me with souls that He knows will meet Him in heaven and at least I’ll have a chance of having SOMEone being on the other side to greet me.

Since the Internet came into my life in 2003 there was never a better day to find many of the answers to my vast amount of questions that couldn’t be answered by leafing through the yellowing pages of life. NASA has visually shown me the cosmos where my love of astronomy flourishes.  National Geographic takes me on an explorer’s expedition and the King James Version of the Bible fills me with the Words that I need to sustain the blood pumping through my veins.

So all in all the sunrises and sunsets fill my world in a kaleidoscope of color and vibrant life that keeps me feeding words to you via the life in me. Space, the final frontier, this is my mission, to explore the heavens, to seek out new souls and wondrous galaxies, to boldly go where all men will one day strive to be…with God!

All Glory to God!

Isaiah 61:7 (NIV) “Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.”

Seasonal Change

Pss. 90: 6 "In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth."

Seasonal Change

It seems like a seasonal change is going on in my body and mind. In the Spring I’m flourishing and growing, writing until my fingers hurt then by fall I’m ready to go dormant and wither into the sunset and put my year long trek of blog posts behind me. It’s not even the New Year yet.

I did have a goal at the beginning of this year and that was to surpass last year’s posts. So far I beat the 112 posts mark pretty easy. Now to surpass 2013, not so easy as September has arrived and I just want the year to be over already. Maybe the cooler temperatures arriving next week will whisk me away into a writing frenzy and my goal will surpass 2014! Hey, I can dream but the one thing I can’t do is give up!

2013 – 162 posts, 2014 – 182 posts, 2015 - 112 posts, 2016 – 155 so far. A grand total of 1699 posts thus far – Definitely surpassing my goal from when I began this venture.
~  Amen  ~

Topics – the elusive thought for a topic is becoming harder and harder as sources become overwhelming to my little brain. Then there is the reality that I must live life and not just sit behind this windowed world because things need to be taken care of around my home.

I feel lost amid a sea of falling leaves that are slowly being taken from their tree source and left to lie on the ground waiting to be raked and put into a pile on my almost ready to be sleeping garden. Even my flourishing garden wants to rest from a heated summer where little has fallen from the sky to quench the thirst of the dry land beneath.

I thought I’d at least make my blog writing to the November election when the chosen one will be hung out to dry on the social media clothesline.  The news media will spin their web of deceit just in time for Halloween when all the masks will be evidently seen from people and politicians alike and I get to be here at center stage to watch the show. Yippee, how depressing.

I think about giving up writing all the time but I won’t allow the phase to suck me down the drain with all the mask-wearing people. I actually have a goal set and I don’t like giving up. I don’t care how depressing the world around me becomes or how hard they try to tighten the noose around my neck with their gibberish; I can’t give up!

I sometimes feel like my posts are coming off as peeved or angry but I have no intention of writing from anger. When something bothers me, like lies and deceit, I write about the liars and deceivers so that maybe, just maybe, everyone else can see that people they know and trust are misleading them also. Maybe they don’t even care if the bullring hanging from their nose is leading them around. This is why I feel like discontinuing my writing so I can just have a break from the grammar-etiquette police and the judgmental masked socialites, who know who they are.

I don’t have all of the answers and I surely don’t pretend to know it all. I lost my ego years ago when reality swallowed me up as the social media frenzy was seizing control of the world. I am not a pretentious person putting on a show for you all to read, what you see is the real me that some of you like but some are taken aback by my over-the-top honesty.

“Did she really just say that?” Yes, yes I did.

Sometimes my openness corners me into a cage, leaving people to poke sticks at me through the bars, feed me their delusion or ready to pull their shotguns out because they see me as a big gorilla trying to save a small child. (Think Harambe, the almost endangered species)

There you have it, the truth of this entire post, I’m an endangered species being forced out of existence by an all too willing mass that would rather shoot me down rather than lift me up. I’m telling you here and now, I will not go out quietly. I will look down the barrel of your gun proclaiming HE IS ALIVE! I AM ALIVE! All the capitalizing in the world isn’t big enough to make you HEAR the WORDS (or see) because blindness is an epidemic that is sucking the life out of the living.

Seasons come and seasons go
Dreams may come and dreams may flow.
No one knows from where I grow
As seasons come and seasons go.

Ex. 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

Lent: Day Fifteen ~ Anger and Hatred

Eph. 4: 29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Lent: Day Fifteen ~ Anger and Hatred

Since the beginning of time, since Cain and Abel, there has been a seed of hate planted on the earth. And just like any seed that is planted, in the right soil it will flourish and that is what hate did.

Hate and love; they are the seeds planted in the hearts of men. When Noah was told to build the arc, God tried to clear the land of hate but among the passengers there must have been a seed of hate disguised as jealousy or envy and it was replanted in the land after the flood and once again grew to a remarkable harvest of souls.

For thousands upon thousands of year, that one seed would flourish because satan is the very seed planted slithering across the land feeding man with the nature of deceit. He is so conniving, just as he made that apple look so sweet and juicy to Eve, he makes hatred of your fellow man into a bouquet of luscious lingering aromatic roses.

You take the bait because to the naked eye you see beauty, gorgeous loving beauty; you never see the bee hidden in the petals of the beauty until you sink yourself in for a sniff. Bitten! You’ve been stung by hate! You too fell for satan’s lure, no different than Eve.

Is hatred beautiful to behold? When I see my friends spewing hate, calling people names, lashing out in a vengeful manner, disguising their sarcasm as a fruitful flower, I know they have been stung and no I don’t like seeing them prancing in hate as if it was a field of beauty to them.

Do I hate hate? No. I feel very sorry for those people because they are under the impression that they can continually sin and hey, they’ll be forgiven because it is written in the bible they read and believe.

In each book of the bible God shows his LOVE for men who stray. Through hatred He plants a seed of love that you either grab a hold of and walk with, or pluck out of the ground to watch it wither. Wither.

Souls wither when they are feeding the plucked flower of love. Have you ever gotten a bouquet of flowers at the grocery store; brought them home and placed them in water; a nice vase in front of you? Did they live and live, holding onto all the love that was meant for them when they were planted? No. They die.

That is the same for a person who thinks he/she is planted in love, they begin to wither because they would rather behold the beauty for a moment in the vase in front of their eyes instead of planting that plant in fertile soil and tending to it allowing it to grow to its full potential.

I see potential in the man who hates. Do I embrace the man? Do I overlook his sinful nature? Do I cry out with vile words and condemn the man for his choices? I can’t, I just can’t. God planted the seed of love in me and although I may disagree with a man or woman’s choice, I cannot hate and condemn that choice.

I wrote a post the other day about Muslims. I knew it was a controversial topic and I feared, truly I feared. God placed it on my heart to write and I have no idea why. But He placed it on my heart and I wrote, knowing the repercussions of such a controversial subject.

Yesterday morning, a loud knock came to my door. Living in the middle of nowhere, you tend to jump when a loud knock comes to your door. In my mind I thought, ‘The NSA knew I did research on the topic of Muslims’; I chuckled when it turned out to be the FedEx man for my neighbor.

I followed that post with a post on Suffering. I was amazed to see my stats for the prior day exceeded 100 hits! I might get twenty or thirty a day, but 100? Since the Lent posts began people are reading; they are interested. Controversy sparks interest.

Aha! There it is, I think people thought I’d write a post how I HATE Muslim, HATE suffering but no they got an eyeful of love and responded in honest ways. I understand people, I truly understand. Just as you don’t understand me and how I can forgive murderers, sometimes I’m perplexed by your way of hating.

I think of mother’s whose son or daughter was viciously murdered. She asks to see the murderer so she can forgive him. Shocks you doesn’t it? You lashed out and spew hatred at the man and the very mother wanted to see him and forgive him. You shuddered, you were appalled, you didn’t understand.

I’m going to refer back to an earlier post titled ‘YOU are the Church’. Are you the soil awaiting seeds to be planted in you, the flower in the soil waiting to be plucked and placed in a vase, or are you the ROCK a part of a SOLID foundation? Think about that a moment.

We are not called to hate. We are not called to embrace sin. WE (human, plant and animal race) are God’s bouquet. WE are called to stand on the Rock that He sent forth to guide us. HE doesn’t just pluck us out to be put in a vase for Him to idolize, no, He loves us and allows us to FLOURISH. The choice is YOURS!

Heb. 10:22-24  Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
