Pss. 25: 5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
FAITH
“When something
tries to contradict the very faith I hold to be true, and tries to sway my
belief, I WILL seek out the truth and facts from God not man. My faith is not
measured by a book or Scientifics, it is measured by what God himself places in
my soul. And no, it can never be swayed.” Joni
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has
risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
~ C.S. Lewis

“I don’t think that we're meant to understand it all the
time. I think that sometimes we just have to have faith.”
~ Nicholas Sparks

“There are times when solitude is better than society, and
silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more
alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual
strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God,
because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some
Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the
divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully
meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they
would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it;
the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at
their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O
Lord. . . .”

FACTS
“The Truth is in the root of the tree. The branches are opinions
formed.”

“Sometimes, some lies that spoken with high confidence
could be more receptive than facts that spoken with doubt.”

is a house.”

“Now, what I want is Facts. Teach these boys and girls
nothing but Facts. Facts alone are wanted in life. Plant nothing else, and root
out everything else. You can only form the minds of reasoning animals upon
Facts; nothing else will ever be of any service to them.”

“When we are young, we spend much time and pains in filling
our note-books with all definitions of Religion, Love, Poetry, Politics, Art,
in the hope that, in the course of a few years, we shall have condensed into
our encyclopaedia the net value of all the theories at which the world has yet
arrived. But year after year our tables get no completeness, and at last we
discover that our curve is a parabola, whose arcs will never meet.”

DOUBTS
“She hated that little voice inside her head. Like the
Seelie Queen, it planted doubts where there shouldn't be doubts, asked
questions that had no answer.”

I fear to call thee mine;
The springs of comfort seem to fail,
And all my hopes decline.
Yet, gracious God, where shall I flee?
Thou art my only trust;
And still my soul would cleave to thee,
Though prostrate in the dust.”

This one, I struggle with:

I am always questioning and doubting what I can do.
Thanks to some encouragement from my pastor's wife, I will be leading a devotional books study this session of Small Groups at church.
Could still use some prayers though--wasn't nervous before, but starts on the 7th--starting to get a little nervous now--but exited too.
Tigs, there's nothing to fear. His wife saw in you the ability to lead, and God gave His stamp of approval.
You don't fear God now, do you? I didn't think so. :)
Go with God and my prayers, you'll do fine! :)
